If in your eyes, God is imaginary, non-existent, or unproven, then that is your idea of God - let it be sufficient in itself. Just as I have no need (or ability) to demonstrate my conscious experience to others, so others should find no need for me to experience that of their own. For someone to tell me that I'm a fool for having my beliefs is directly akin to a theist proselyting me. Just as the Christian may say "Your beliefs are foolish" to an atheist, I likewise hear the same spirit in any admonishment to ditch my beliefs. Preaching is preaching in any form. I will never tell another soul which path to walk, and I would never presume to know what steps another must take on their journey.
