You aren't a member of staff and I'd rather close down the forums than see you in any kind of executive position. You play by our rules; we don't play by yours. You have the freedom to swear here. I respect EvF's choice in doing so, and I equally respect your choice in not, but don't you dare tell someone to watch their language on a forum where freedom of speech is held in the highest regard.(April 13, 2010 at 11:04 am)EvidenceVsFaith Wrote: Who gives a fuck?Watch your language !!!!

If you don't want to respond to posts containing swear words, don't respond to them. If you can't bear to see swearing in posts, you can bloody well fuck off.

His hatred of religion would preclude him from knowing about them.Oh, so my hatred of socialism precludes me from knowing about anyone associated with socialistic ideas? Bullshit. If anything, my hatred of socialism stems from my knowledge of these individuals and their ideas. Atheists can be people no different from yourself; they might have grown up in similar environments, been taught the same things you were. The only difference is that you believe Christianity and they don't.

Why would you eat spinach if you hate?I'd eat spinach if I were hungry, or because I know that despite its taste, it is actually very good for my body. You keep mentioning the word "true atheist". If there is even such a thing, it would be a person who truly does not believe in any gods. Not believing in gods doesn't means you cannot be interested in religion; I know a few Religious Education teachers who don't believe in Gods yet find the subject of religion fascinating, hence their chosen career.
Atheists may have interests in non-atheistic things.
Scientists may have interests in non-scientific things.
Germans may have interests in non-German things.
Being part of a specific group does not mean you cannot be part of others. Life would be very boring if we only focused on one particular activity.
