Granted, but it does seem that you're managing to achieve that which you don't mean. Perhaps a change of approach is in order?
What change of approach do you suggest?

Not too late? That arrogantly implies we are not that much smarter than you, and therefore are stupid enough to think it might have been a good idea at least at one time in the past.
Are you calling me stupid because I believe in a Creator? Does that mean every one who believes in God is dumb?

And the deeper you go, the worse it gets. Fundie creationists don't just have to redefine moral terms, but also scientific ones... the whole religion is just about shitting on the very idea of language until eventually the dialogue is so skewed and confusing that god comes out the other end looking sparkling without ever having to earn that.
"Truth," "benevolent," "savior," "grace," "salvation," "idolatry"
When did Jesus ever say believe in me or burn? He did say, Mat 11:28 Come unto me, all ye that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
Mat 11:29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.
Mat 11:30 For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.
