Well, obviously. The question was aimed at apologists who make the claim about the Holy Spirit being responsible without having a good answer for why he seems to be so terrible at his job.

Have you ever read the bible?
If you have - then you certainly read several passages
1 - Give to Caesar what is Caesars - give to god what is god
2 - For a rich man to be saved he should give all his money TO THE POOR etc.
Nowhere in the New Testament does the christ get quoted for you to give money to a church - always to the poor.
The support for Tithing is in the Old Testament
So - why do you give money to the church - instead of giving it to the poor as the christ cleary stated? THe church is certainly not an efficient way to support poor people - since they keep most of the money - and that is not doing what your god said to do as well.
Are you directing that at me or Lutherans?
If it's at me, I don't give money to the church.
Obviously - by the first line - I was directing it to the Lutheran
Studies have shown that it is the non-believer who tends to know more about religions and their beliefs - than the person who accepts the religion.
Why?
Because they allow money grubbing clergy to take lots of phrases out of context - and ignore lots of others - because they never really took the time to actually read the bible.
The MYTH of the Holy Ghost - is an example of how myths evolved. For the jews - the Holy Ghost was not a god - not part of a trinity - - but simply the messenger of god. That the so called "trinity" was invented by the catholic church 1600 years ago - making the ghost one of god's personalities - underscores how little education the average person had then - and that it was easy to pull the following around by strings to their noses.
However - there have been thousands of supernatural gods - claimed - and they all share one thing in common - the only source of information we have on them is from humans
