What Do I need Saved From?

Hi Folks,

When I was a Christian I used to try and 'Save' people but now Its got me thinking, Who was I saving people from?

you weren't saving anyone. Christ saved them from the consenquence of their sin.

The same God who supposedly loved his people so much he sent his son to die for them - Because if that's the case then that makes no sense what so ever.

So God is willing to have his son die for people but because the Clergy have fucked up his true word beyond belief he would punish people for thinking its a bunch of bull shit?

Is that really true of God?

The Clergy has no impact on your salvation. That is a personal matter between the individual and God.

Unfortunately people spreading the word is about the only reason most people even know about Jesus or Yahweh. Unless they happen to stumble upon a bible and start believing all the stories and stuff. I doubt that a large number of people who hadn't heard of it would start reading the old testament and think this god was very appealing to the modern age individual.

So yes, I'd say your average christian or clergy plays a big role in getting people "saved".
