I guess I can answer the question "does getting older suck?" Only in terms of the physical toll, would be my response. You get older, and stuff starts to ache and get stiff (not in the good way) and your joints start to make clicking and ticking and cracking and groaning sounds and you welcome that because it means you're getting a bit loose and can probably move around now.
Mentally, emotionally, and pretty much every other way? It doesn't suck at all. You're probably as smart and wise as you've ever been, but not as you'll ever be, and that's not a bad spot to be in.
