On Job Searching

I am beginning to search for a new job and I am worried about joining another group of strong believers. Between the bible belt mentality and the Salem hypothesis I am not exactly confident that I can find a comfortable culture.

Does anyone know if there is anything I can do to evaluate how seriously people at companies take religion without getting into illegal questions?
