I've been hoping that a Christian would post in this topic.
Many Christians believe that they can feel God's presence. I felt the presence of a pagan deity in that dream. Do you think that other people worshipping this deity, telling stories about him and writing hymns to him etc. provides real evidence that Apollo exists? Does the fact that the sun rises every day prove that he exists? After all, he's a sun god.
I have the kind of brain which produces odd, subjective experiences which is why I'm very interested in neuroscience. I've felt presences, seen ghosts and have also seen a shadowy female figure rising from a pond. Most of the time these experiences just happen out of the blue but, by experimenting, I've learned how to switch over to to what I call my New Age Perception whenver I want to. I switched over to it this morning and made this topic about it -
My "New Age Perception" - The Goddess Is "Real"
I've been interested in mythology, folklore and other religions since I was a child and I'm now 65 years old. I find the Bible very interesting from that point of view. I've never been moved to search for the Christian God any more than I've been moved to search for any other deity, however, because I'm an atheist. For some reason my brain never produces Christian imagery even though I love old churches and cathedrals. It's always pagan material.
