It's not the baby's fault. Under the law a woman can terminate the pregnancy, but I just believe it's killing a human being. I think we should be committed to saving lives. If you want to call me uncaring for wanting to save a child's life, so be it.
Except for that for the whole first trimester it has no more brainwaves then a tapeworm. Let me pose you this, lets say abortion is agianst the law ok? You are a judge in a rape case that is moving along very fast, only 4 weeks since the incident, part of your decision is too decide weither not the woman should be allowed to have a abortion. Now bare in mind that it is still a zygote, no brain, no sentience, not even a heartbeat. Do you force the woman too carry that reminder for the next 9 months, and quite possibly force her to stare in her rapists face every day while she struggles as a single mom? Yea I know you will adoption is an option, but is it really? How many couples that have the means to adopt will want a rape baby from america?
First of all, let's get this out of the way. You're assuming that I don't care about the woman carrying the child. Secondly, you're going on the false assumption that all, or even most women who become pregnant from rape want to abort their babies. Thirdly, you're assuming that having that baby and keeping it, or giving it up for adoption, would destroy the woman's life. Read the statistics and some testimonies from women in this situation. Personally, like I said previously, I think she should carry the innocent baby. Her life isn't the only one at stake here. As a judge, I would be required to enforce the law of the land.
