I attempt to follow the rules which apply to Gentile Christians. For instance, murder is prohibited before the law and in the epistles as well as in the law, so it seems applicable to all people. OTOH, eating shellfish is only prohibited in the law, so it is only applicable to Israel.

But you don't have to follow them because you aren't part of gods chosen people. But what is the point in following them if there isn't any punishment for not following them? I mean, gods chosen people have the threat of hell looming above them if they don't follow the rules, but apparently you don't. So why bother?
