Please, tell us more about how to be civilized.
Did nobody else bother to actually read this article?
Quote:But criminologists say crime figures can be affected by many factors, including different criminal justice systems and differences in how crime is reported and measured.
In Britain, an affray is considered a violent crime, while in other countries it will only be logged if a person is physically injured.
There are also degrees of violence. While the UK ranks above South Africa for all violent crime, South Africans suffer more than 20,000 murders each year - compared with Britain's 921 in 2007.
How do these figures have any weight in an argument about guns?
Also, citing from the daily mail is about as good citing from the bible. There's always a nefarious hidden agenda with that 'newspaper' :-|

Of course why wouldn't they? Aspergers is neurological difference that doesn't on its have much impact on psychological stability.
Well, I'm no medical expert, but I thought one of the traits of given types of autism was the inability to empathize with societal norms and, thus, the emotions of members of that given society. Hence why some autistics tend to be confused and withdrawn when confronted with social situations and displays of emotions that they can't compute. Doesn't seem like the kind of person I'd want holding a gun next to me.
But hey, worked out well for this guy I guess. He got what he wanted so its cool.
I never like getting involved in these gun threads because there's never a resolution, So I'll leave it to the yanks to sort it all out, and the families of those who have died to pick up the pieces and be forgotten.
