I would contend that more He162s would not have made a difference.
Aircraft production was in '44 at an all time high despite Allied bombing.
What Adolf needed was fuel and pilots.
A further point is that the 162 needed very experienced hands at the controls(which makes
a mockery of the plans to train hitler youths on gliders and stick 'em in the cockpits)
It would be easier to have trained pilots for the 262 and since it was much better armed
for the bomber destroyer mission it would have been a better return in investment.
