What you need to look for first is God. When you look from that perspective you will see evidence of his actions.

Like when you go looking for god and find him on toast, the sides of buildings, birthmarks, dogs assholes, and t-shirts?
(honest question, can you explain the difference between any of those and the platitude you offered?)

It's called confirmation bias.

Make an assumption and then look for anything that may seem like it supports the assumption, ignoring all the evidence that suggests otherwise.
