Is it ever right to use a racial slur to make a point?

I really hate when people say blacks instead of black people or whites instead of white people.

I hear what you're saying - but I'll take it one farther. I'd like to see the day when the color of one's skin matters not at all *in any context*. In other words, it will be completely unnecessary to refer to someone as a white person or a black person, or any other color.
