Sophistry aside, the sentiment "there is something wrong with you that needs changing, or you deserve to be tortured forever" is a hateful one. The fact that christians haven't thought through their beliefs enough to realize this, the fact that they can passively accept awful shit like sheep, doesn't make the belief any less nasty.

And yet you'll believe the christians when they say otherwise? Are you sure you're one to be talking about biases, there?
Quote: There was video taken on scene and it showed polite people.
One wonders who was taking the video, speaking of biases.

Quote: It didn't show traumatized victims. I did a quick search for mainstream news articles on it and found no reports of traumatized victims. How do I know that these other sources aren't incorrectly spinning things like you do with hatred? It seems that that is going on. FA takes a picture of smiling event workers and participants and spins it as "church members posing innocently with the people they’d preyed on."
Because FA has earned my trust, and has a history of unbiased reporting. Before you bandy about accusations of bias, maybe you could actually look at the source you're accusing: when you have FA routinely posting retractions and corrections to stories about christianity that they've gotten wrong, and who posts a story like this just yesterday, it kind of deflates your theory that they're just on an outrage kick on behalf of the gay agenda.
Quote:However, my search did turn up an article that came out before the event stating their intent clearly, which detracts from your charge of deception.
Uh huh, because everyone would be aware of that one report. I also note the large difference between "will be putting in an appearance at the event," and "will be deliberately wearing uniforms and handing out leaflets that look very similar to event officials." It's fairly clear why one would do that. Any normal group simply looking to work on the crowd would want to look distinct and memorable as their own group, and specifically wouldn't want to look like the organizers: an anti-gay group wouldn't want to appear connected to the event in any official sense...
... Unless they were attempting to slip in under people's guard to harangue them.
