In terms of what people who self identify as atheist, that simply is not true .. at least not among the people who post here.

Quick question, can you explain to me with precision the difference between saying 'I believe that gods do not exist' and 'I do not believe in gods'? At first glance it seems equal to me, but I thought my answer (the later - I do not believe in gods) was agnosticism so I choose it. Am I wrong?
