Plus, Huggy74 cannot do math. If the New Jerusalem is 1500 miles in any direction, then it has a footprint of 2.25 million square miles. That makes it just over half the size of the continental United States.

An interesting fact about a literal New Jerusalem is that if you do the calculations, the top floors would extend above the existing earth's atmosphere (about 1500 miles). Kinda hard to breath in the penthouse suite.

Since death no longer exists, why do we assume people are still required to breathe.

Because the Biblical fairy tale says that people in the cube will get a piece of fruit once a month and drink water. Therefore they will also likely do #1 & #2. And since they will be singing God's praises forever they will most likely have to breathe in order to vocalize words.
