Yeah, it's hard cooking for kids who will devour a meal one day and the next day decide, for whatever arcane reason, that it's roughly equivalent to dogshit. lol. That's why you gotta keep 40lbs of chicken nuggets and 3 gallons of ketchup on hand at all times.
I made some sauteed crappie (it's a fish) with harissa bulgar pilaf and steamed veggies (all from my garden and my nets - minus the bulgar - don't tell fish and game) for me and the wife last night. I wasn't going to waste that on my little swine. They bellied up to a trough of the usual, see above.

Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!
