Well of course you'll get banned. It's adultery even though everyone is probably guilty of it. You got the axe for being honest. The truth shall not set you free; It shall get you banned.
It's one way for them to "win" an argument. I heard about a large Christian church that set up a debate with a famous atheist. They filmed the debate and were going to post the video on the church website. But the debate ended up going in a direction that they didn't expect -- and the atheist basically "won". So the video of the debate was never posted on the website. Instead a couple rebuttal videos were posted.
