Bin, I'll reply to, "You" as if I was speaking to "Him"...
Tell that to the countless dead children that were prayed for and never received that healing you speak of. It's one thing to pray (AKA) "HOPE" they get better, but it's another to ignore what has been proven through medical breakthroughs throughout our history.
You are blinded by your own delusion of what people come into agreement with and what pure common sense should have taught you in the first place. Both conclusions still have absolutely nothing to do with a "sky daddy".
Majority already know that if they get sick and do not getting better, they go to the doctor. The idiots that stick around for some sky daddy to heal them end up dead, 99.99% of the time.
Which of course brings me to a top ten list for Fundi Christians; I'll give you the number two;
You define 0.01% as a "high success rate" when it comes to answered prayers. You consider that to be evidence that prayer works. And you think that the remaining 99.99% FAILURE was simply the will of God.
Read above for the answer to this statement, and then please think about your quote: "There are dangerous thoughts that people come into agreement with but that has nothing to do with prayer".
You use an example that applies to people that believe prayer actually works (AKA) such as yourself....Your statement is very hypocritical and/or at least not thought out to your stance in prayer and common sense.
If they were not "injured" then why would they need to be healed...?
Also, do you honestly believe that because you prayed for them, then they were never injured? Again, tell that to the countless children that are dead and were simply prayed for, unless of course, you believe "YOUR" prayer was more real than the parents of that dead child...........
This comment above, alone, should tell you how much "Confusion" is put forth to the people of America and abroad. Maybe once you see past the "Confusion" you speak of, then you will actually see the bullshit from which your own church/book speaks of.
If you understood even a little bit about Science and the testing that is involved, you would understand how idiotic this statement is.
You trying to compare rigorous testing for years with data and positive/negative logical results to show with someone praying, for someone to be healed, is a mock.
I can only hope you do not base your every day life on such nonsense? By that type of thinking, we would be lucky to know what a syringe is, much less, the medicine that goes into one and how to inject it.
But of course, we should not be thanking the medicine injected, but the prayer at the time, for making the medicine actually work? Really, or you that closed to trial and error?
They are doctors because they do procedures that we do not understand, because guess what........I don't understand those procedures, because,......Drum roll..........I'm not a doctor, just as you are not a Quantum Physics Professor.
However, what should be more than logical for those that do not understand something, is actually try and research and study that particular subject and/or procedure. If am I told that I have cancer in some part of my body, you better believe I will be studying my backside off on what Scientist/Medical Physicians/Chemists etc. have learned.....but of course, by your thoughts, I should not waste my time with such nonsense in procedures I can't understand?
Maybe "YOU" are programmed that way, but most people who think for themselves already have the solution, outcomes and worse case scenarios. The difference is, if that outcome is now what was thought, then the age old expression of; "Back to the drawing boards" applies...
If people just simply answered every "Unanswered" question with "Goddidit" then we would still be living in a society of people who "KNEW" the Earth was Flat........Dark ages come to mind.....
It is ridiculous, and you are simply comparing one hypothesis to another....
Scaled on a 10 dimension canvas for years until later introducing an eleventh dimension which, so called, miraculously fit their string theory model etc. and blah blah blah.
And of course the lack of explanations between electrons appearing and re-appearing, as if, they some how transferred themselves outside the realm of known and physical reality, but the only explanation was that they were simply slipping in and out of certain dimensions......etc.
The first questions should have been.........And you know this HOW????
Ohhhhhhh, that's right....God-did-it......
The last part, I can't answer......LOLOLOL Aunt boo....

Quote:Their are dangerous thoughts that people come into agreement with but that has nothing to do with prayer. If I out of my own stupidity I deny medical treatment because I want to see a miracle, it is because I lack understanding, it is not because miracles are dangerous.

Quote:It's like saying that cars are dangerous because a lot of people die in car accidents-so don't transport that person to the hospital, walk them.

Quote:What we deal with here in America is a lot of confused people and a very confused church as a whole. If you take another look at the health care system or the government as a whole, you will find much confusion as well.

Quote:So it would be very foolish to say all practicing medicine is dangerous on the account of a sometimes poor system and foolish doctors who make mistakes that end up costing peoples lives. Or to say don't go to the doctors its dangerous because people have had the wrong leg amputated or something like that. Equally, it is foolish to dismiss the entire notion of prayer and faith as dangerous because some people didn't know and understand God's will.
If you understood even a little bit about Science and the testing that is involved, you would understand how idiotic this statement is.

Quote:Believing that a bunch of doctors are going to do some procedure that you don't even understand is going to heal you, or take this pill and you will get well, can take "faith".

Quote:We are programmed to believe a lot of things that we have never personally ever seen first hand, just the resulting evidence, it is the same many times with God. Personally, I believe that all good things come from God and without Him we wouldn't even have the knowledge to do medicine.
Maybe "YOU" are programmed that way, but most people who think for themselves already have the solution, outcomes and worse case scenarios. The difference is, if that outcome is now what was thought, then the age old expression of; "Back to the drawing boards" applies...

Quote:If you study quantum physics you will find that something outside of this dimension is causing this dimension to be, our reality is one big sustained "word" or vibration producing light and then matter which doesn't even matter at all. Kinda sounds like God spoke and said "let their be light." But all that is probably ridiculous sounding to you.
It is ridiculous, and you are simply comparing one hypothesis to another....
