Ah, no.
Maybe you or the 'pastor' and provide some book chapter and verse concerning the stoning of all divorced women.
Because Christ himself seems to have a different take on divorce, in the OT and the NT. It's summed up in Matt 19 and Mark 10.
Furthermore The bible does in identify homosexuality as a sin. In the Old Testament and in the new. I know it is popular today for supporters of homosexuality to over look the half a dozen or so verses that spell out this fact to try and silence what the bible actually says. Even if you can silence what the bible says against homosexual sex, you still do not have an avenue in which homosexual sex is permitted. Meaning just because you ignore what the bible specifically says about homosexuality, the bible still classifies homosexual sex as a sexual sin, because all sex is still a sin outside the confines of a sanctified marriage, and the bible/God does not sanctify same sex marriages.
Now does this mean that homosexuality is a greater sin than anything else, no. It is a sexual sin like anyother, and as such needs the same repentance and atonement as anyother sexual/heterosexual sex related sin.
As for the mis use of the word 'love', the bible tells us if we 'love' someone then reproof and correction is expected in such a relationship. To love your neighbor, is to help him identify sin if he was confused about it.
All of this leads me to believe your 'pastor' was really a pastor at all. Just someone pushing some gay agenda to undermine what the bible actually says.
