Dotard, you said: ''If you now are of the opinion "you do what you feel comfortable with. If you want to smoke it or eat it, then that's up to you" then why just a few posts ago were you proclaiming you were "glad" it is an illegal substance to possess? And you were berating your ex for smoking it and at the same time giving the impression you approve of alcohol use. That is what I was taking issue with.''
I'm not sure why there is anything to take issue with here. I'm saying that if you or anyone else wants to partake of marijuana then that is obviously fine for you. You don't think it is harmful and I can understand this as I've smoked a few joints myself many years ago and it was a pleasant enough experience. I on the other hand DO think even in small amounts, it is harmful hence why I'm glad it's illegal. I accept that alcohol ABUSE is more harmful and widespread than marijuana abuse. Any fool can see that. We live in a society where alcohol has taken on an importance if you like that is not good for us. There are campaigns at the minute trying to educate people about the harmful effects of drinking too much. How can we solve the problem of alcohol abuse without banning it, is a hard one. I was adding my two penn'th if you like, having had a bad first encounter with the stuff and reading articles about the health risks has certainly put me off it.
