If science proves we were seeded by Annuanki? Does that make them our gods?

Religions come and go throughout the Eons.
A new following of people believing that Darwinism could not have happened to Humans and were were DNA manipulated by our creators (ancient humans from another solar system) and "they created us in their image".
Does this means that the Atheism cult following will diminish? And a new religion will form?
From a scientific stand-point, if were truly were created by an advanced civilization that makes them our gods. You can argue that they are not the true source of GOD, but they are our demi-gods/creators.
In 10,000 yrs when humanity reaches a spiritual and technological level on par to them, we will become gods to a lesser species.
Once again, the concept of religion will continue well into the future for eons.
