It's an interesting article, I have to be honest and say I'm not surprised although I am a little worried by the fact that not only is the sea rising, but the 'land is sinking', now I'm no expert on plate tectonics but surely that has nothing to do with climate change?

The subsidence of coastal Louisiana has nothing to do with plate tectonics. It is entirely man made. There are two main causes. The first is anti flooding programs on the Mississippi River caused the river to drop its sediment load up river and prevented the river from carring much of it down river to be deposited in the Mississippi delta area. Sediments naturally erode, compact and subside once deposited. When the river was carrying its natural sediment load deposition balanced subsidence, erosion and compaction. Now the delta erodes and settles faster than it is being replenished.
The second is withdrawal of natural gas and oil from their reservoirs cause the overlaying ground to settle.
