Agape, or the type of love we are to have for God, which btw is the word Jesus was using in the passage you quoted. This for. Of love is based in fear and respect.
We are commanded to give God agape. This type of love is something we can indeed provide on demand.
How does one fear and respect what is not here except in the imaginations of people like you?
Fear is generated by man against what can harm him. Man cannot respect in the way you mean what can harm him. Hate is more like what we think of what can harm us.
Esoterically speaking, that is why God hated Esau even before he could do good or evil. He represented change and your God and church, as shown by the Inquisition and laws against reading the bible, --- show how Christians are just idol worshipers.
