When I went to Universities in the '80s and '90's I worked in two different Science buildings as a student assistant, meeting many biology professors in addition to my own biology, chemistry, and physics professors and not one ever gave the slightest hint or evidence that they were religious in any way. I would say that my personal observations fit the expectations of the following statistic.
Frankly the reason I think religiosity is as high as it is is because the overwhelming majority of christians do not analytically critique their own religious beliefs. They don't question the world they grew up in. My wife used to cover her ears and yell "LA LA LA" to keep from hearing anything counter to her comfortable beliefs.
