The Taj Mahal and Mausoleum at Halicarnassus demonstrate that royalty was not above going overboard in expressions of honor for dead relatives.
Anyway, Olympias is a possibility - the story goes though that she was defeated, murdered and denied burial by the victor, Cassander, so an opulent burial might seem unlikely. Alexander's wife, Roxana, also died around this time....perhaps helped along by the aforementioned Cassander...but an opulent funeral there might have served Macedonian politics.
We shall see.
