In his 'diatribe', he made points concerning: morality being a product of our evolution, your religion borrowing from earlier Canaanite mythology, human perceptions being faulty and therefore leading us to believe things that are not true, etc.
All of which are accurate and backed up by tons of data.
You ignore all his points because "his panties are in a twist".

Argumentum ad hominem, is a general category of fallacies in which a claim or argument is rejected on the basis of some irrelevant fact about the author of or the person presenting the claim or argument
His panties being in a twist is an irreverent 'fact' to the points in his post.
You'd believe if you just opened your heart" is a terrible argument for religion. It's basically saying, "If you bias yourself enough, you can convince yourself that this is true." If religion were true, people wouldn't need faith to believe it -- it would be supported by good evidence.
