So, what do you think would be the most likely reason archeologists are not able to find remnants of 2 million people in a small desert for 40 years, but they can find older encampments of much less than 2 million people in just as harsh conditions all over the world?
You'd believe if you just opened your heart" is a terrible argument for religion. It's basically saying, "If you bias yourself enough, you can convince yourself that this is true." If religion were true, people wouldn't need faith to believe it -- it would be supported by good evidence.
