You do not see the benfit of having God's ear? To ask Him anything and get an answer. to receive direction, support and love?
To have the Holy Spirit in your life is to have God directly involved in your day to day.

The "rewards" you guys describe here sound about as real as "aligning your chakras" or "wearing a moon stone to deflect the retrogade mercury's ill effects" or "cleansing your body of thetans".
Either you don't know what it is to align your chakras or you have been reading what we are talking about.
