I think this underscores some of the wacky ecumencalism we see too. If all (most) religions have some truth in them, then maybe mine is less unthinkably false, and rather, just more correct.
Religiousites do not happily or easily entertain thoughts they may be participating in a false religion, contemplating other religions as being false can be uncomfortable too, unless they are highly dissimilar or distant.
Exactly, and as you've probably already seen below, the Professor has decided the Book of Mormon must be from Satan.

But this I do know, by experience, understanding and time-
No one will ever be justified by their own goodness, and self righteousness (good works) is the foundation of ALL non-Christian beliefs and that includes the fake Christian ones like the Mormons.
With regard to your Mormon quote, Satan quoted the scripture to Jesus,
and he continues to use some truth mixed in to his concoctions of religion.
I stand on Jesus words:
"If anyone truly determines to DO God's will- he will know My teaching, whether it comes from man or from God".
You all have as good a shot as anyone to get off the bleachers and get onto the playing field and DO the above.
I suspect it goes right along with seeking.
I'm sure the Mormons have truly determined to do gods will. And they are really, really sure that the Book of Mormon is an additional and better source of god's word.
And since both you and the Mormons use the same method to determine the will of god, who is to tell between you?
If there is a god, I want to believe that there is a god. If there is not a god, I want to believe that there is no god.
