Carrier's explanation seems far more plausible.
Not to mention the fact that there's a difference between accepting that a wandering rabbi named Jesus existed, and accepting all of the supernatural accoutrements that are usually attached to him.
I agree . . . That's just a matter of faith I guess. The main dividing point on the Christianity- atheist debate. It ends there. There is nothing more to prove or disprove.
And Vorlorn -vivalarevolutionite? Shocked to see a person who's analyzed the new testament and the old testament uptil 2 Samuel?
At a loss for words? Does this scare you that you cannot use the same arguments you against other Christians against me? I've looked into it carefully, just like you have, but difference is that what I chose to believe or disbelieve made no change in my faith in jesus christ .
