Alone and facing life on it's own terms is another subject. What I was talking about is what it means to be human, the value of a human spiritually, and the stages of ascension and spiritual growth meant for him.
You've just taken your first step into a larger world. Now work on this notion of working towards pleasing an entity that you can't even know is actually there and your journey towards the light side will be complete... sort of.
