It time for another What if... Thread!

Last year we did one on witches and most of the old timers lost their minds, and wanted to burn me at the stake. I figured since we have so much fresh meat, we can let the new guys play, and see what they think. Rules are simple. If you want to play sick with in the senerio, don't wander off into history or self righteousness.

Ok so what if.... witches as per folk tales and scary movies existed? (Not the dbag witch/emo/hippies we do have) but real fly on a broom, steal your children cook and eat them, prey on people in general, no prision can hold them, can only be killed by water or fire, but real as the day is long???

Would it then be ok to have an hold witch hunts of old/Salem witch trials?

What if #2: what if just a few hundred years ago these type of witches really did exist and it wasn't superstition and rampant ignorance that over took people. What if the population was then just as aware of reality as we are now, only that the variable in the equation was reality itself and not our ancestors knoweledge of it? Meaning the supernatural was stronger than it is now?

Would that change your view of what they did and why they did what they did?

In this hypothetical situation how did I find out that witches were real back then and not just a myth?

Someone finds a old book a spells, summons a demon and the door to witchcraft/demon possession is back open and all Hell breaks loose again.. New problem, created by a period book that verifys the old problem.

Now imagine that senerio when ever someone points to a portion of the bible or history when for those people at that moment in time that was the situation.

then all you need do is make your way here and carry out what you have been told to do.. just don't stop to check out the propane tank on my porch before you try and do it.

so if god told you to make a flame thrower and go door to door and burn your neighbors houses down in the middle of the night you would do it because god said so? if he said that to me personally i would give him the finger that's if he even exists.

If 'god' told me to do something not consistant with scripture then I could identify it as a false god no matter what he brought to the table.

Again the goal in biblical Christianity is to follow and Worship the God of the bible. Once 'a god' deviates from the bible it can quickly be identified as a false God.

Now if Acts 21:13 said thou shalt roast thy heathen neighbors when call upon to do so by the lord your God... then lets just say if i were you I would not goto the denver get together next summer.
