NAACP, Are they really for the advancement of colored people?

This isn't a case of telling a book by its cover. Its a case of examining the fruits to understand the tree. The NAACP doesn't really care about the advancement of colored people. If they did the first black senator elected in the south since reconstruction would be a big deal to them. They would celebrate it not down play it or pretend it didn't happen by ignoring it completely

No, see, because the fruits would be their actions, not their words. Words are easy, actions are hard. If you're looking at the fruit at all, my point is that you aren't looking very closely. You aren't even picking the fruit to see it up close; you're just casting a glance at the fruit and claiming that it's all bad fruit because you'd decided beforehand that this was the case, and look, that single fruit up there looks like it might have a bruise, therefore you're right.

You're trying to extrapolate from a data point of one. Not even a particularly compelling data point, a rather petty and insignificant data point, when you consider the format. You can't do that, and the fact that you're still trying to, the fact that insufficient evidence is enough to get you to draw a conclusion you're defending with this much ardor, demonstrates precisely that you're working from a presupposition, and not following the evidence where it leads.

In this cycle the republicans also elected the youngest woman ever to go to congress. The feminist at least acknowledged it as a victory for women....they put in the caveat that they wished she was a democrat....but acknowledged that her victory was still another victory for women in general and should be celebrated. The NAACP can't even do that......what does it say about them?

It says they have an anal retentive, ideological madman over-scrutinizing them in an attempt to confirm an opinion he had before he started investigating and will not relinquish?
