I agree, it's easy to get injured if rushing through a series of exercises, it's most important to get your form down before increasing weight too. Many sadly don't follow that simple rule.
I had an argument with a personal trainer at a gym once. He asked what exercises I wanted to do.
I said I'll start off with the treadmill, crosstrainer, and the bikes. But I won't do the rowing machine because I hate it.
He said, "Okay, but I'll schedule you 10 minutes on the rower."
"No, I won't do the rower. I hate it and won't do it."
"Alright, but I think you'll benefit from 5 minutes, at least on the rower, and you'll get used to it."
"What part of 'not doing the rower' isn't clear to you?"
I ended up telling him to go and bug someone else and send me another personal trainer who will listen to the person paying the bills.
