When you said you were 50, you were bullshitting us weren't you? What 50 y/o do you know who writes like this? Indeed, what '8' year old do you know who writes like this?

but does Homers Odyssey not use LANGUAGE?
What does this even mean?
(December 23, 2014 at 9:43 am)Sonny Wrote: Would the LANGUAGE in Homers Odyssey therefore be INVALID since there is no way to prove that the STORY is true?
Or are the WORDS themselves just as valid as any word can be?
Again, no clue what you're talking about here. The story is a fable, a tale, with some elements of truth within it (Troy for example).

DEFINES GOD.
Oh so your god is a contradictory laden collection of heavily edited, plagiarized tales written by cultures and religions far older? Good to know.

This is true in ANY LANGUAGE
I don't have any beliefs in any gods. I've got positive beliefs of non-existence. Yours, for example, seems to be non-existent

The quotes you so casually disregard are CLEAR EVIDENCE of the AUTHORS INTENDED MEANING!
It does no such thing. The bible can only be read through interpretation. The lens of the reader is what defines the language and the meaning in the given biblical text. I can prove this to you 100% through our conversation. I read the bible and I see some allegory, maybe some hints of past truths, but mostly I see bullshit. You read it and you see the 'truth'. Indeed, other readers of the bible, who themselves are Xtian, see something vastly different to you, hence why there tens of thousands of Xtian sects.
Your reasoning is nonsense.
