If you don't know how to fix this conundrum that you've gotten yourself into, then the best bet is to just ask her what can you do to make it up to her. Even this might get her mad, because, as her husband, you should know what to do... but talking usually helps.
It would never have crossed my mind to go half way across the world, to a new place, and not take my wife with me (unless it was on business). What sort of person are you, that such a thing didn't raise a few red flags in your mind?
