Necromancy (as practiced on the mostly dead) -> medicine

I was watching one of my DVD collection on which the great Tom Baker was part of the commentary track. He made the pretty grim, but true, observation that with all the film and video footage in existence, the living are now being entertained by the dead. Necromancy of sorts.

Sometimes while watching something on television, I think to myself on occasion "Woah, that person/animal has been dead for approximately "x" amount of years." I am weird and morbid I think.
