However small your part is in religion, you validate the whole deal by your vote of confidence in faith. Religion causes a lot of harm, and to deny that is to deny reality.

Religious institutions complain the world is a terrible place. But they are the ones who are causing the issues and problems in the world and yet none of the followers really see what is going on.
It's a great scam, it allows you to set up power, cause needless problems so people turn to you for solutions to problems you perpetuate. Throw pretty stories to them they will blindly follow you off a cliff.
The only way to keep religion on a leash, which is all you really can do realistically is to treat it as a weapon.
