It's not saying that evil is a problem, it's saying that the existence of evil is a problem for that view of what God is. For example, if God is all-powerful and all-loving, then why do babies in Africa die horrible deaths of malaria or ebola? This does not conform with any sensible definition of good, or with logic. And when an idea conforms neither with sensible definitions nor with logic, there's a. . . wait for it. . . problem.
Quote:And where do you get the idea that the universe exist? It is just empty space, in the same way that time does not exist as not created to be.The universe is the framework in which things may be placed. That things are placed implies a framework for their placement.
Fair enough and that again is their idea of God. The three Omni's still are attributes of God as the prime mover of all that finds existence in life, but never is greater than the Being as being under him. By 'under him' I mean to the extent that we know who we are, and once we know how we are [to the innermost depth of our being] there is no room for God left. It therefore is that Thomas exclaimed when all doubt was removed from him (the role play of Thomas was doubt): "My Lord and my God." This so is where the concept God refers to the unknown in us.
This would also be why we look for a meaning in life and this is the reason why the concept evil is attached to religion so that we may stand convicted on our own with nobody pointing a finger at us. This would be like "a lamb caught in a thicket" to use Garcia Lorca's expression of this.
This in turn is why confessionals are placed in churches so we can feel forgiven and do it with more enthusiasm next time until finally we stand convicted on our own. This is how Plato would encourage the courageous so they would find their own genus in being from where only the soul can be seen. They would call that 'logos' as Formal cause that we call Original sin and come full circle in it.
So now the good of religion is how it can send us West and further away from East of Eden as the place that we left behind when we became a rational being, and social next, and thus increasingly further removed from God as an insider to us.
And no, there is no framework up there or God would be up there too.
And sorry, you must have heard that the cross of eternal salvation is for sinners only, and if that is true and salvation is good sin must also be good.
