I think outlawing religion is not right, and in fact would be entirely impossible. You can't stop people coming up with ridiculous beliefs and sharing them with their mates. Organized religion could be better regulated though.

I think the answer is education. Educate parents on the potential harm of indoctrination, educate everyone about science and critical thinking, and make sure religion is not afforded special status to break laws or to avoid criticism (very relevant at the moment).

My aim would be to relegate religion to have the power it deserves according to how much sense it makes, in other words, very little. Then people can do whatever funny religious stuff they want, but it would be a bit of fun and not taken too seriously by the population as a whole.

If that doesn't work, then I'll email god and see if he has any better suggestions. You all have his handle right?
