I'm going to ask you hundreds of questions about the nature of christ, largely sourced from denominations and christologies of groups you will have no overt knowledge of. That's a blind. I might be giving you a catholic line, a mormon line, a Bill the Roadside Preacher line - you'll never really know.
The moment that you answer any of those question differently than the "christian" to your left or right, I'm going to remind you that said "christian" does not hold to your christology. That they aren't, in your estimation, True Christians. So if you can imagine any situation in which we might find ourselves in this situation, right off the bat, you can save me trouble, and yourself embarrassment (and it's coming...if you have any shame at all).
You know me, I'll seize on doublespeak, deflection, or outright deception like a mutt with a fucking T-bone. There won't be any "Oh, well, I didn't know you meant -that-" because you've already stated that you're very interested and spent alot of time studying. There won't be any "Oh well, close enough" because we're not talking about horseshoes or hand grenades.
So, I've been very blunt, very open with where I'm going to take this. I don;t want anyone to leave disappointed. I don't want you to waste your time with something you have no interest in, and it's certainly a broad subject...it's had a few thousand years to steep. There are myriad traditions, and many personal interpretations between individual believers within the same traditions.
Do you understand this conversation, that we're having? Are we on the same page?
Sure. Go for it. I've got an event to help out with tonight and work tomorrow, so don't think I deserted you if I don't answer right away. Plus I might need to do some research depending on how challenging your questions are, but I'll be here.
