Well said. All that matters is that you look at the bible objectively. If you do, it's unsupported assertions not just of events, but of unprecedented types of events. So even if you accept that every word is exactly what people at that time believed was true, it just tells you what they believed. You have no way of knowing it was actually true. And considering there is absolutely no reason to think that it is, we reject it. Never mind the copious amounts of other problems.
The only reason to take it seriously at all is because you have decided to just assume it is true in some way. The only justification for this is, "Other people believe it so..." and "I've had personal experiences [which I have decided to interpret to mean the bible is true, which is an impossible inference, but it is the one I want to make nevertheless]".
