In any of the bigger cities there are something like 4 churches per district. In my hometown of something like 20,000 people there are 3 churches. A nearby town of 125,000 people has 6 churches. This seems excessive to me. I also can't seem to find the logic behind it. Wouldn't it make more sense to have one church per town instead of multiple which always fight with each other for parishinoers?
I'd like to know if this is a local phenomenon or is it common for christians everywhere. So, how many churches in your hometown?
I live in a town in the north west of England, population 103,544
there are 29 mosques
We have about the same number of Churches I think, maybe more.
I can see why they would have that many though, a lot of people who go to church are pretty old (like a lot of people in my family) and they don't want to have to walk far, so to have one church in one location might be really far for some people to get to.
Plus a lot of them are tiny churches, with weird denominations, some of them just look like little scary buildings the type where you expect some sort of David Koresh style cult to begin.
Are you ready for the fire? We are firemen. WE ARE FIREMEN! The heat doesn’t bother us. We live in the heat. We train in the heat. It tells us that we’re ready, we’re at home, we’re where we’re supposed to be. Flames don’t intimidate us. What do we do? We control the flame. We control them. We move the flames where we want to. And then we extinguish them.
Impersonation is treason.
