Yeah....Way Too Many Fucking Morons Running Around Loose in this Country

Why is it that you hear winners in sporting events say things like, "I won thanks to God!" but never hear the losers say, "I prayed and I still lost. I lost because of God. What a prick!"

You forget the theist mindset. If they lost, it's because they needed to learn some lesson, or god was testing them, or it made them rely on their emotional strength and now they're a better person...

...you know, all that bullshit that losers say to try and feel better about fucking up in the biggest game of their lives.

Stripping the theistic sourcing of such sentiments, there is a lot to be learnt even in a losing effort, and losing teaches the wise man things that winning cannot address.
