I want to know what theists get out of having faith right now. If I need to explain the question further, I will.
Hi Nope
I see all the different ways of relating and representing God/Life and laws of the universe and human nature as means of organizing people by tribe, language and identity.
I get greater understanding by studying both the differences and the common concepts.
there is something about the sum of the parts where the interactions and collective whole is greater than any of the single points or instances.
Reaching agreement between any groups or people on any points connects and changes in a ripple effect, influencing others to connect and relate as well.
so the connection and collaboration grows as the barriers of fear and division are overcome.
the work of the theists to push for one understanding of truth is just as much a driving force as the secular and naturalists pushing to be more open objective and universal.
