Why the hell do our police treat people poorly at all? Because they can. Have you ever seen that experiment where they take a bunch of random men and lock them in a building to be a fake prison? The ones who are made guards do some pretty sick shit.
If you take a lot of people and give them a lot of power with very little to no accountability. Odds are some of them are bound to do some pretty fucked up shit.
