Why do gospel contradictions matter?

Except that the gospels are copied. Even many christian scholars agree that Matthew and Luke have based parts of their accounts solely on what Mark had written. (These aren't the names of the people who wrote them either, no one has any idea who wrote them. All we know is they were not eye witnesses.)

I'm afraid for all your unsupported claims, most atheists here know the bible better inside and out.
