Free support system? Free child care? Built-in social network?
Going off the cuff here, but since women are more often the primary care-giver to children (the ones who more often take the time off work to be with the sick kid, or the one who doesn't work to be a stay-at-home parent, or the one who more often gets custody of kids in a divorce, etc) there can be a lot more pressure on women to join a church that already has in place the child care programs and the social network of other mothers trying to make things work.

I would clarify that to say women have been given the extra guilt of being born female. I wasn't born feeling guilty about my gender, that guilt would have been taught to me.
